Learn to Teach English Pt.2: the sequel

What most characterized the class of this group was the oral aspect because from the beginning the teachers focused on introducing the topic in Spanish, mentioning the meaning of "there is" and "there are", allowing students to grasp its practical usage by encouraging them to ask questions about objects present in that space, in the classroom. This can be a topic that can be confusing for first-time students, but they knew very well how to explain the differences.  I want to highlight the use of Spanish in this class because I think is very important! As teachers, is very important to know when to use our mother-tongue and when to use the target language.  I liked Kenneth and Mauricio way to express. They both have strong and hard-to-ignore voices.  In the activities, student participation was quite focused, because after the teachers fully explained the grammatical aspects of the topic (including the past and present way of talking about objects located in an space...

 THE FIRST GROUP OF THE WEEK IS ... My group. Yay!  Our topic is pretty simple indeed, but I promise we tried to make it entertaining for the students. The very first thing that we did was introduce the topic to the students: telling the time. Miriam is the one who started the class. The warm-up was very simple, it consisted of a human knot, students were instructed to hold their hands but crossed, then try to find a way to unknot their hands and create a normal circle. We, the teachers, joined them AND this was a secret, but we already knew the solution for the game but we remained quiet haha. The very first thing that Group 4 did was explain the agenda. Good!  The warm up was LA PAPA CALIENTE ! A simple but effective activity. Jessica gave the instructures in Spanish for students' comfort.  Hello! Welcome to the third entry of this register. This week, we started with GROUP 3, Simple Present. The very first thing they did was introduce the name of the topic, and a brief introduction of the structure of Simple Present in its affirmative form. Josh explaining the base structure. ACTIVITY Once he finished, another teacher, Jonathan, run an activity. For this activity, students were instructed to stand up and say what actions they heard from an audio. ACTIVITY The next activity was also focused on listening, writing and share answers. For this one, Brenda was in charge. October 12th, the second group of the day.  This is a special class because my folks are the teachers yeees.  And these are EXCLUSIVE shots behind cameras.  Cutting paper!  Maru's smile is cute WARM-UP ACTIVITY  The first activity was a warm-up activity where everyone was asked to stand up, remember and repeat the routine of the person next to them, then say their own routine and basically create a chain of activities. I may say, these students have such a good memory! Hello! This is the beginning of the end... The last register!  So this October 12th the first group taught about Daily Routines and Frequency Adverbs, but it's so funny/cute that they wore yellow lmao the duck group . Exciting!
